Vacuum Leak Testing Machine

Tests joints, fittings, and thermoplastic pipes under vacuum conditions. Up to 99-hour test duration and –950 mbar vacuum capability with USB/Ethernet data transfer.

Leak-tightness testing of pipes, joints and packs under vacuum

Pipe joints, fittings and sealed packages must not leak when the outside pressure is higher than the inside. The vacuum leak testing machine evacuates the test chamber or specimen down to −950 mbar with a 0.75 kW vacuum pump, holds the set level and watches for pressure loss with 1 mbar precision for up to 99 hours. PLC control and USB/Ethernet data transfer make each result traceable, for thermoplastic piping leak-tightness tests and for gross-leak testing of flexible packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a vacuum leak test show?

Whether a joint, fitting, pipe or package keeps its integrity under negative pressure. A leak shows up as a loss of vacuum (pipe tests) or as a stream of bubbles from the submerged pack (packaging tests).

How deep a vacuum does the device reach?

Down to −950 mbar, measured with 1 mbar precision; the test level and leak threshold are set on the PLC.

How long can a test run?

Test time is adjustable up to 99 hours, so both short production checks and long-term tightness tests are possible.

Which standards does it support?

Leak-tightness testing of thermoplastic piping systems (such as EN 1277 / ISO 13844 joint tests) and gross-leak detection in flexible packaging by bubble emission (ASTM D3078).
