Haze Meter
Measures the haze and luminous transmittance of transparent and translucent plastic films and sheets. Essential for packaging, automotive glazing, and optical component quality control.
Measuring how clear a transparent plastic really is
For packaging film, sheets, lids and optical parts, clarity is a specification, not a visual impression. The haze meter measures the luminous transmittance of a transparent or translucent sample and the share of light scattered away from the direct path (haze), giving repeatable numbers to ISO 14782 and ASTM D1003. Film producers use it to control resin, cooling and additive effects; converters use it to check incoming film against the agreed limit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is haze?
The percentage of transmitted light that is scattered by more than a small angle from the incident beam — it is what makes a transparent material look milky.
Which standards apply?
ISO 14782 and ASTM D1003 for haze and luminous transmittance of transparent plastics.
Which materials are tested?
Transparent and translucent films, sheets, packaging and optical components.
Is remote support available?
Yes — remote service support is available, and the device is kept in stock.
