Hydrostatic Pressure Test End Caps

Stainless steel end caps designed for hydrostatic internal pressure testing of plastic pipes from 16 mm to 2600 mm diameter (custom up to 4000 mm). Features a patented adjustable gasket system (Patent TR 2016/20266) with no special tools required. Available in cap sizes from Ø16 mm to Ø800 mm — compare the models below.

Sealing pipe specimens without special tools

In a hydrostatic test the end caps carry the full pressure load — a cap that slips or leaks ends the test early and wastes days of testing. Alarge end caps are machined or cast-and-machined in AISI 304, 316 or 316L stainless steel and use a patented adjustable gasket system (TR 2016/20266) that seals without special tools. Twenty-four sizes from Ø16 to Ø800 mm are rated up to 100 bar on small diameters, with larger pipes up to 2,600 mm — and custom R&D caps up to 4,000 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which pipe diameters do the end caps cover?

Standard caps from Ø16 to Ø800 mm in 24 sizes; the system covers pipes from 16 mm up to 2,600 mm, and custom R&D caps go up to 4,000 mm.

What maximum pressure do they withstand?

Up to 100 bar on sizes from Ø16 to Ø315 mm, 60 bar from Ø355 to Ø630 mm and 40 bar for the largest sizes — see the model table on this page.

What is special about the gasket system?

It is a patented adjustable design (TR 2016/20266) with single- or multi-lip silicone and rubber gasket options, fitted without special tools.

Which pipe materials can be tested?

PE, PP, PVC, PE-RT and PEX pipes for internal pressure tests to ISO 1167, ASTM D1598 and ASTM D1599.
