Water Tank for Hydrostatic Pressure Test

Provides a constant-temperature circulating water environment for hydrostatic pressure testing. Maintains ±0.5–1°C stability through integrated heating and cooling. Available in 50–5,000 litre stainless steel construction.

The constant-temperature bath behind every hydrostatic test

A hydrostatic pressure test is only valid if the pipe stays at the specified temperature for the whole test — often hundreds of hours. The water tank circulates water around the pressurised specimens and holds it within ±0.5–1 °C using integrated heating and cooling. Stainless steel tanks from 50 to 5,000 litres let a lab size the bath to its pipe diameters and line count, for PPRC, PPH, PE-RT, PVC and composite pipe testing to ISO 1167.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a hydrostatic test need a water tank?

Pipe strength depends strongly on temperature, so the standards specify the test temperature. The tank keeps the specimens immersed in circulating water at that temperature for the full test duration.

How stable is the temperature?

Integrated heating and cooling hold the water within ±0.5–1 °C of the set point.

Which tank size do I need?

It depends on the pipe diameters, specimen lengths and how many lines you test at once; tanks are available from 50 to 5,000 litres.

Does it work with Alarge pressure testers?

Yes — it is designed to be used with the 3-, 5- and 10-line hydrostatic pressure testing machines and Alarge end caps as one complete test setup.
