End Caps for Large-Diameter Pipes (Custom R&D)

Heavy-duty, custom-manufactured end caps for hydrostatic pressure testing of large-diameter plastic pipes from 800 mm to 4000 mm. Features a press-free, hammer-free assembly with a custom threaded press mechanism and adaptive silicone/rubber seal technology. Accommodates pipe deformation during testing and requires no special tools.

End caps for 800–4,000 mm pipe

Large-diameter pipe cannot be sealed with standard caps: forces are huge, and the pipe ovalises and deforms under pressure. Alarge's R&D department designs and manufactures heavy-duty caps for 800 to 4,000 mm pipe with a custom threaded press mechanism and adaptive silicone/rubber seals that follow pipe deformation during the test. Assembly needs no press and no hammer, and caps are built in galvanised structural steel or AISI 304/316L stainless steel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which diameters are covered?

800 mm to 4,000 mm, designed for each project's pipe dimensions.

How are the caps fitted?

With a custom threaded press mechanism — no hydraulic press, hammer or special tools are needed.

What happens if the pipe deforms during the test?

The adaptive silicone/rubber seal follows the deformation, so the cap keeps sealing as the pipe wall moves under pressure.

Which materials are available?

Galvanised structural steel or AISI 304/316L stainless steel, for PE, PP, PE-RT and PEX pipes.
