CNC Sample Preparation Device — Compact (450 mm)

CNC-controlled precision device for preparing geometrically accurate test specimens from plastic, rubber, and composite materials. High repeatability for reliable test results per ASTM, ISO, and EN. This Model S configuration — Movement Range: 450 × 450 × 150 mm.

Identical test specimens, every time

Hand-cut specimens vary in width, radius and edge quality, and that variation shows up as scatter in tensile and impact results. The CNC sample preparation device mills dumbbell, bar and other standard specimen shapes from plastic, rubber and composite sheet with 0.001 mm axis accuracy and an 18,000 rpm spindle, from a computer-controlled program, so every specimen in a batch is the same. The compact Model S works in a 450 × 450 × 150 mm envelope; the Model L offers 600 × 600 mm for larger sheets.

Standards

Frequently Asked Questions

Which specimens can it produce?

Standard tensile dumbbells, flexural and impact bars and other geometries defined in ASTM, ISO and EN specimen standards — from plastic, rubber and composite sheet.

How accurate is it?

Axis accuracy is 0.001 mm with a spindle speed up to 18,000 rpm, controlled from a computer.

What is the working area?

450 × 450 × 150 mm for the compact Model S; the Model L offers 600 × 600 × 150 mm.

Why use CNC instead of a die cutter?

CNC cuts any programmed geometry with clean edges and no compression of the material, removing operator-to-operator variation from your test results.
