Test equipment for the pipe industry
From raw material checks to burst resistance — every test a plastic pipe manufacturer needs, filtered by pipe material and application.
Pipe Industry — Overview
Which tests does a plastic pipe manufacturer need? Pressure pipes (water, gas, irrigation) are verified with a long-term hydrostatic pressure test to ISO 1167; non-pressure sewer and drainage pipes are verified with ring stiffness (ISO 9969) and drop weight impact (EN 744 / ISO 3127). Raw material and compound quality is checked with melt flow index (ISO 1133), oxidation induction time (OIT) and, for PE, carbon black content (ISO 6964).
Alarge builds this entire test chain in Türkiye — for PE, PP, PVC and GRP pipe. Use the filters below to see only the devices relevant to your pipe material and application.

Frequently asked questions
Which test is mandatory for pressure pipes?
The long-term hydrostatic pressure test to ISO 1167 (ASTM D1598 / D1599) — the pipe is held at a set internal pressure and temperature until the required time without failure. Alarge builds 3, 5 and 10-line hydrostatic testers with matching water tanks and end caps.
How are sewer and drainage pipes tested?
Non-pressure pipes are qualified mainly by ring stiffness (ISO 9969, ASTM D2412) and external impact resistance with a drop weight tester (EN 744, ISO 3127, ASTM D2444).
Which raw material tests matter for PE pipe?
Melt flow index (ISO 1133) confirms the grade, oxidation induction time (OIT) confirms thermal stability, and carbon black content (ISO 6964) confirms UV protection in black PE compounds.
